A PTO pump is one of the most cost effective and efficient ways to pump effluent (and water - irrigation) on your farm. 

It utilises an existing resource – your tractor – so it’s important to select a PTO pump matched to the HP/kWs of your tractor. It’s also important to ensure you select the right PTO pump for the head loss of your effluent system, the volume per hour to be pumped and the contour of your farm.

The PTO pump has been designed and manufactured to effectively and efficiently pump the thicker slurries. Three sizes are available, on either a frame or trailer, enabling you to choose the one which will integrate and complement your effluent system, the distance to be pumped and the solids content of the effluent.

Key to optimal performance

Selecting the correct PTO pump depending on the size tractor available, the total head at the system (pipe sizes, land contour, irrigation equipment and volume per second to be pumped), and running the RPMs for the tractor PTO, is essential to optimising the PTO’s performance.

The Close Couple pump is ideal if you want a shore based option which will enable easy inspection and servicing.  

Our range of Close Couple pumps are designed specifically for handling dairy effluent and have the same performance curves as the short and long shaft pumps. The pumps have the greatest pressure per KW of any centrifugal pump on the market and represent the best value for money. 

The Close Couple pump delivers consistent volume over the entire irrigation area when fitted with a Variable Speed Drive (VSD) and flow meter. Matched with the correct irrigation equipment, it will also help avoid ponding and run-off.

Progressive Cavity pumps use less power, produce consistent pressure and volume than standard dairy effluent pumps. Ideally suited for long distance and / or high elevation pipelines.

Their low power usage enables farmers with power supply issues to gain more pressure and performance from their dairy effluent system without a costly upgrade of their power supply.  

These shore based pumps deliver consistent pressure at every hydrant enabling consistent depths of effluent or irrigation to be applied from the front paddocks to the back paddocks. 

Low running speeds reduce wear and result in a longer working pump life.

TRANSFER PUMP

Transfer pumps are used for fast transferring of effluent to a separation system or storage facility. Transfer pumps use less power and are 2 - 4 times faster than commonly used irrigation pumps.

The pumps are designed to pump thick waste not normally handled by standard pumps. Rotating chopping knives finely chop solid waste, straw, maize and grass silage. Nozzles can be used to control the volume to the separator. 

The specially designed pump head enables effortless pumping of large volumes.

Flood pumps are designed to operate by either electric motor, stationary diesel engine or PTO input. Allowing you to move high volumes of water over a short period.

Their rugged construction ensures continuous operation under adverse conditions making them extremely reliable.  An oil bath drive line with bearings and Widia Mechanical seals (same as portable unit) ensures minimal requirement for ongoing maintenance.

Diesel PD Pump Image

PD pumps are designed to transfer thick animal effluent or working residues of industrial plants which are too dense to be easily pumped out.

In order to eliminate leaks of treated substance, PD Pumps are fitted with Widia mechanical seals instead of gland packing which is normally used but do not prove practical. This method improves pump performance and decreases priming times.

The PD Pump is a self-contained, mobile unit. Unlike other pumps, it does not need a tractor to power the unit, as it has its own motor which features disengage clutch drive, allowing the motor to warm up prior to operation.

The unit is made from stainless steel and is more durable than similar pumps. It is well ventilated but is also weather proofed and has its own diesel storage tank.
