Graeme’s association with the company stretches back to 1993 when he worked as a field technician for Waikato Milking Systems, based at the company’s head office in Hamilton, New Zealand.

During this time, he supported our domestic dealer network and assisted with installations all around the world as the company grew its export markets. In 2004 he was promoted to Regional Sales Manager, drawing upon his experience in the field, to promote the company’s dairy products and technology. In 2008 Graeme moved to another dairy ag company where he developed his skills in Project Management, Research and Design and finally as the Global Product Manager for pastoral dairy systems. Returning to Waikato Milking Systems in 2017, Graeme took on the role of Special Projects Engineer as the company looked to strengthen its position in the market both domestically and internationally. Graeme was then promoted to Innovation Manager - Mechanical. During this time, he led efforts to refine designs and mechanical systems for the company’s flagship Centrus Composite Rotary and Orbit Concrete Rotary milking systems. Other key projects included the design and development of the multi-roller undercarriage, which ensured accurate roller alignment, low maintenance and longevity of the platform. Another focus for Graeme has been the development of rotary milking solutions for sheep and goat. This sector has grown rapidly over the last 10 years and Waikato Milking Systems now has many best-in-class plants operating in New Zealand, China and North America. With many existing dairy systems coming to the end of their lifecycle, Graeme has led the company’s efforts to develop solutions to fit modern milking systems into existing farm infrastructure. This brings new life into older dairy operations by adding modern efficient milk harvesting equipment without the costly expense of a total redevelopment. With Graeme’s many years of industry experience developed across varied roles, he has developed a thorough understanding of the challenges faced by our customers and he is focused on creating solutions to make their lives easier. Graeme was appointed Senior Design Engineer, Milking Systems in 2021 and is currently working on several new innovations which you will be seeing soon.
